Hi! I’m John, and I make art.

I grew up watching WWF and began my creative journey by drawing my favorite wrestlers. Capturing their larger-than-life personalities and endless facial expressions sparked my passion for portraiture. Drawing remained a hobby as I grew older, even while I studied and worked in accounting. Eventually, I changed paths and was accepted into Capilano University’s IDEA program (Illustration and Design), where I completed an intensive exploration of art and communication design. It was during this program that my love for traditional art truly took hold.

Today, I paint and draw as my creative outlet. My work is inspired by the Hip Hop culture I grew up with, the joys and challenges of family life, and the playful energy of children—often reflecting the nostalgia, memories, and everyday moments that shape who we are.
